It has occured to me that most folks do not understand how long it takes to grow a treehouse from seedlings. Time frame for the treehouse is 25 years... Meanwhile we are setting up a singlewide mobilehome in a rivendell style and planting poplars and willows to provide a wind screen around the property growth on the poplars to screen height is about 15 years.
Yes I am still setting up to do tapestries and yes I have the burlap for the base... all 35 yards of it! And I will be getting some local grown wool to clean and card and spin into yarn for those tapestries probably from Neal who lives about 8 miles west of us. Sourcing locally is part of the Elven Path especially sourcing from Elves and Otherkin of all sorts. Using designs made by local artists is also part of the path and so I will be designing most of what I make except for what Peregrine designs since he is the architect in the family...
I am perhaps a bit pushy regarding the level of quality I want in life but being 50 now I simply no longer am willing to do with less then what I want in life. Yes this does mean more work for me and so I'll be spending more time in the field literally and less online at least until the snows come as they do each year around late November.

That's it for now.

Namarie,
Cat

Yes I got all those 30 small trees planted: so now I have 75 feet of trees planted on the west side, and 50 feet worth of trees planted on the east side! Now I've just to finish painting all the wood for the skirting for the singlewide before we put the skirting up... that I want done before Halloween. The paneling will be repaired after the skirting goes on. So much to do in rebuilding a house it seems the work never ends. How much more then will there be to weaving willow trees together to make the hall after clearing the ground once spring comes? As I've said before Elven living is not for the faint at heart especially with the winter lows at -20*F.
